Earthquake of Magnitude 4.8 hits New Delhi, NCR region

A strong earthquake jolted New Delhi as well as NCR area late 11:27 pm Wednesday night.

The earthquake was assessed 4.8 on Richter scale in accordance with the Meteorological Department.

Jolts were felt in Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Noida at the same time.

People came out of of their houses in fear. The epic center of the earthquake is reported in Sonipat
