Bollywood films to watch out for in 2012

New Delhi: The winter has arrived and not many films are left to be released before the next leap year but the war to capture the box office is expected to continue in all probability. The battle to rule the ticket window had started with Salman Khan's 'Bodyguard' and became intense with the arrival of 'RA.One and 'Rockstar'.

Pulled back due to two big flops 'Thank You' and 'Tees Maar Khan', Akshay Kumar is returning to the silver screen with full force. 'Desi Boyz' is just the beginning of Akshay's charisma as five of his films with high production values are lined up for release in the next year.

Sajid Khan's 'Housefull 2' with Akshay and Asin in the lead will be the first to go public. It will be followed by Prabhu Deva's 'Rowdy Rathore'. 'Wanted' has established Prabhu Deva as a director with potential and thus people will be expecting another entertainer from him. Akshay's return to action and Sonakshi Sinha's presence in the film will be adding more charm to it.

For the time being Milan Luthria is busy in promoting 'The Dirty Picture' but he will concentrate on the sequel of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbai' very soon. This will probably be the first film to feature Akshay in a character based on a true story.

Sonakshi Sinha will again give company to Akshay in Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' where the Delhi lad will seek help from aliens to make it big in life.

'Khiladi 786' will bring two stars of different arena together. Himesh Reshammiya and Akshay Kumar are going to collaborate for this Ashish Mohan film.

The commercial success of an actor can't be judged by the number of releases in a year. The amount of revenue generated marks the credibility of a mainstream actor and who can beat Salman Khan when it comes to drive the market crazy. The macho man will return with director Kabir Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger'. The producer of the film Aditya Chopra has managed to bring the once most talked couple of Salman and Katrina together after 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya' and 'Yuvraaj'.

If media reports are to be believed than Sohail Khan's production company can bring either 'Sher Khan' or 'Dabangg 2' next year but no confirmed reports have been received yet about the releasing dates of these films.

King Khan has hit the bull's eye with his technical gimmickry in 'RA.One'. The film has earned enormous money despite not so good reviews. The badshah of Bollywood will be back with Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 2' in December this year. The promotional drive for the film is in full swing and the makers have decided to pitch in the film in 3 D and 2 D versions. Khan's one liners and looks were liked in the previous 'Don' and thus the actor is expected to hit the jackpot again. SRK's niche audience base in itself is capable enough to make the film a moderate success and the presence of a technically sound director and a good marketing team will make the success look easier.

The charming hero has not announced any other film but he knows the value of a familiar face so it would not come as surprise if Shah Rukh Khan announces any film in near future.

Hrithik Roshan is at least ten years junior to Khans but his name has already entered into the list of superstars. The actor is all set to take the world by storm in Karan Malhotra's 'Agneepath'. The promos have created a great enthusiasm among the audiences and the film can be the first sizzler of 2012.

'Krrish 2' has broken all records for satellite rights. The film was sold for a hefty price even before a single shot was captured on camera and as a result the distributors and promoters will pour their soul into making it a roaring success.

Ajay Devgn's 'Tezz' will give Hrithik's 'Agneepath' and Ranbir Kapoor's 'Barfee' a good run for money as all these films are hitting theatres in January 2012.

Devgn will try to consolidate his position made after 'Singham' with Rohit Shetty's 'Bol Bachchan' later in the year.

Any list related to films is incomplete without Aamir Khan's mention. The media has already latched on to the ace performer's upcoming psychological thriller 'Talaash' which in all probability will tilt the momentum in favour of the film till its release.

Some actors will win and some lose but the audiences will remain the winner in any case as they will get diverse films to watch.
