New Delhi: The Delhi Police has registered a case against unknown persons for causing death due to negligence in the north-east Delhi fire tragedy that took place on Sunday night. At least 14 persons are reported to be dead and over 40 injured in the fire that broke out broke out at a convention of eunuchs in Nand Nagri in the capital.
The Delhi government has ordered a probe into fire which will look into whether any permission was sought for such a large scale programme.
"The Deputy Commissioner of Revenue will inquire the matter," said Delhi Health Minister AK Walia.
The incident took place at the community hall in Nand Nagri area where a three-day congregation of eunuchs was taking place.
