Delhi man brutally thrashed on road | 8 arrested

New Delhi: Delhi police have arrested eight people in an assault case that took place outside a 5-star hotel last week. CCTV visuals show people shooting in the air, breaking a window and pulling out a person from a car to brutally thrash him.

The victim Bhupinder Nagar is a security officer at the Hilton Hotel. He said the the attackers were usual trouble-makers, who he had denied entry in a club at the hotel just hours before being assaulted by them.

"We were beaten up by the goons for not allowing them to enter the hotel. The incident took place on February 13," Nagar said.

Ajay Chowdhary, additional CP, Delhi Police, said, "The brawl happened on February 13. The PCR recieved the call at 6.30 am. Bhupinder Singh Nagar was seriously injured. There are two groups involved in this brawl. One group chased the other group. Police has arrested 8 people. Main boy is Rocky, Maninder, Anuj, Sandeep, Devu and Deven. These boys are from 20-30 years of age and work as bouncers.The brawl was due to differences in the groups on being friends with some girl."

"Five people were arrested from a farmer house in south Delhi. One arrested from a Greater Kailash pub where he works. Another one was arrested from Sangam Vihar. We are still looking for one person called Vikas," he added.

Nagar, 27, was chased and assaulted by the group near Surya hotel at New Friends colony, police said.

The four accused were enraged at being denied entry by the victim in the club at the five star hotel and assaulted Nagar at 5 am on February 13, they said.
