Qbend launches its eBooks services in India

New Delhi: US based publishing company, Qbend has launched its ebook service in India. The company is not only offering users to buy ebooks from its website but also one can publish their books for a nominal fee.

Using the services, customers can now buy eBooks or Electronic Books from a variety of Indian as well as international authors right form the Qbend store.

The publications sold on Qbend are compatible with a wide range of devices including eReaders, tablets and smartphones. The publications are compatible with both Android and iOS based devices and are available for both tablets as well as smartphone devices.

There is no dedicated application available from the service provider for accessing or reading these titles as the titles are available in PDF as well as ePub formats which can be easily read using software's that support Adobe Digital rights Management access control technology.

Qbend presently has over 300,000 titles on a variety of subjects or topics. "You can subscribe or rent any number of books or journals. There are no limitations set by Qbend," the company further explained on its website.

Qbend is also allowing publishers to print their books. With the use of this service now Indian customers will no longer have to rely on costlier international services for obtaining electronic publications of their works.

Sharing his views on the launch of the service in India Kaushik Sampath Chief Operating Officer, Qbend said, "The digital market space in India is on a high growth trajectory with improving computer literacy. With the advent of a variety of tablets, smartphones, and laptops, India is poised to emerge as a big market for eBooks, and the time to start is now."
