UP Polls 2012 | Ignoring UP poll date was a mistake, says Kejriwal

Ghaziabad: Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal returned to Ghaziabad from the airport to cast his vote during the sixth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections on Tuesday after pressure from the media. However, Kejriwal could not cast his vote as he said that his name was not there in the list of voters.

"I had my voter card, but my name was missing from the voters' list," he said.

Kejriwal had decided to skip voting for a Goa visit. However, reports said that Kejriwal returned from the airport under pressure from the media.

The Team Anna member admitted that he made a mistake by planning other engagements during the election dates. "We had planned our Goa visit a month back. We made a mistake by missing the election date. But today when I spoke to the organisers, they siad I can cast my vote and leave for Goa later," Kejriwal said.
