About a month and a half following the announcement that it is acquiring Instagram and a week after a lacklustre IPO, Facebook has launched a camera app called Facebook Camera.
Facebook says the new mobile app, initially available the Apple iPhone, will make sharing of photos on Facebook faster. Users can also see their friends' latest photos at one place.
"Now you can quickly share multiple photos all at once instead of having to post one at a time. Just select the shots you want to share by tapping the check-mark on each photo and then hit post. You'll have a chance to add a caption, say where you were and tag friends before you share," Facebook said in a press release.
Though the $1 billion Instagram acquisition hasn't been completed, the new Facebook camera app includes the ability to add filters and tweaks similar to that on popular photo taking and sharing app.
The Facebook Camera app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
