Lokpal passed in LS not satisfactory - Team Anna

New Delhi: Team Anna on Wednesday made it clear that they were not satisfied with the Lokpal Bill that has been passed in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

"The bill that has been passed is not at all satisfactory. In our view it will not be able to curb corruption therefore we will have to continue with our movement," Prashant Bhushan said.

He also said, "Jail Bharo' will be decided what happens in Rajya Sabha, what happens in Parliament."

Another Team Anna member Kiran Bedi said that they never expected that it will be given a Constitutional status.

"This was a tactic to divert attention. Lok Sabha will pass one Lokpal bill, Rajya Sabha will pass another. Parliament will have two bills. Then it will go to joint session.

There was never an intention to get the bill passed," she said.

"It looks like that this bill is going the Women's Reservation Bill way," she added.
